Pre-cut and pre-core scans for rebar, post-tension cables and conduit.
Before sawing, coring or drilling into a structural slab, wall or column, GPR scanning identifies the rebar, post-tension cables, conduit and any voids hidden inside. The cost of cutting blind into a PT cable or a live conduit is enormous — both in repairs and in safety. We deliver concrete scans for general contractors, MEP trades, plumbers, electricians and forensic engineers. Marks are placed directly on the surface at the scan, with a thickness estimate where called for. We work in occupied buildings, on tower podiums, and on infrastructure jobs where downtime is unaffordable.
Pipe GPR is a sub-division of Leak.ca, the Greater Vancouver leak detection company trusted since 1999. Every site visit is delivered by certified technicians using calibrated equipment, with documented findings formatted for insurance, engineering and procurement use.
We don't sell remediation. Our role is independent detection and assessment — the data you and your professional team work from.
Clients booking concrete scanning often combine it with Private Utility Locating or Void & Sinkhole Detection — particularly when the underlying issue spans multiple systems or when documentation needs to support a broader investigation.
Yes — PT scanning is one of our core competencies. We refuse cores until we have clear scan paths.
Up to about 45 cm in good conditions. Reinforcement and moisture content affect this.
Yes — we routinely deliver slab thickness measurements as part of the scan.
